Sumbawa Island Resort
Sumbawa, Indonesia

Concept design for a high-end resort development on Sumbawa Island. The resort has been designed to maximise the stunning natural beauty of the beaches and views to Mount Rinjani opposite.

The development combines a number of functions and activities. The new main access road will create a natural landscape of rice terraces, swimming and tennis facilities, alongside a traditional Bugis Village, Arts & Crafts area and gift shop. The resort will be approached from the top of the site and buggy tracks will provide circulation from the Club House around the site.

Luxury villas were designed in a range of sizes from one to five bedrooms. A beach club is positioned amongst thematic gardens, ponds, a waterfall, restaurant and cafeteria buildings.

The welcome area and jetty are included for those arriving by boat and a helipad for transfer from nearby Bali and Lombok.
